If you’re in a state where Funrize operates but still see a message saying you’re not allowed to play, don’t worry!
This usually means your device or network isn’t sharing your precise location correctly. Follow the steps below to fix the problem.
🛠️ Step 1: Refresh Your Network
Sometimes your internet connection makes it look like you’re in a different state. A quick reset often solves this.
- Restart your router and modem (turn them off for 1 minute, then back on).
- On mobile, switch Airplane Mode ON for 10 seconds, then OFF.
- Try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data.
- Forget and reconnect to your Wi-Fi network.
📍 Step 2: Turn On Location Services
Make sure your device is actually sharing your GPS location:
- iPhone / iPad:
Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → ON.
Find Funrize in the app list and set location access to Always.
- Android:
Settings → Location → ON.
Set Location mode to High accuracy.
Allow Funrize to use your location “Allow all the time.”
- Mac:
System Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → ON.
Unlock with your password if needed.
Give Safari/Chrome permission to access your location.
- Windows:
Start → Settings → Privacy & Security → Location → Turn ON Location Services.
🌐 Step 3: Enable Location in Your Browser
- Chrome / Edge / Firefox:
Settings → Privacy & Security → Permissions → Location.
Make sure Funrize.com is set to Allow.
- Safari (Mac):
Go to Funrize.com in Safari.
Click Safari → Settings for This Website.
Under Location, choose Allow.
👉 If you clicked “Block” before, you’ll need to change it here to Allow.
🔒 Step 4: Check Privacy Tools
Some tools hide your location and cause errors:
- Turn off VPNs or proxies.
- On iOS, disable iCloud Private Relay.
- Check ad-blockers or privacy extensions and whitelist Funrize.
🧹 Step 5: Clear Cache and Cookies
Old or corrupted data can interfere with geolocation.
- In your browser, go to Settings → Clear browsing data.
- Clear cache & cookies.
- Reopen Funrize and log back in.
❓ Still Having Trouble?
If you’ve tried everything and still can’t connect:
- Try another device or network.
- Contact Funrize Support with:
- A screenshot of the error message.
- Your device type (iPhone, Android, Mac, Windows).
- Your browser (Chrome, Safari, etc.).
- Whether you’re using Wi-Fi or mobile data.
